Kiril Zlatkov

            

Kiril Zlatkov is a Bulgarian artist, a keen researcher and expert on the interactions between image and text. He is the author of dozens of remarkable posters and is passionately devoted to the art of the book in its various incarnations: layout, typography, illustration, type and visual integrity.
Kiril Zlatkov is an artist, graduated in Graphics from the National Academy of Arts in 1996. He works in various fields of visual arts – graphics, painting, poster, mural, graphic design, illustration, calligraphy and type. He has had several solo exhibitions and many participations in various general exhibitions, biennials and triennials in the country and around the world. He also worked in the field of advertising as an art director and creative director in various agencies from 1999 to 2013. He is the curator of the exhibition "New Bulgarian Typography", within the framework of One Design Week 2013, and "New Bulgarian Typography" 2, 2019. He is part of the creative team of the "Photofactory" festival. Kiril Zlatkov is one of the inspirers and authors of the manifesto of the initiative "For Bulgarian Cyrillic". Among the awards he has received are: The Grand Prize in the "Chopin 200" competition 2010; Award for Bulgarian author at the International Triennial of the Stage Poster - Sofia for his poster "The Theater - This Is Me"; The Grand Prize in the "Chopin 200" competition. 2010; "Golden Lion" 2014 for "Daniel Kharms. Selected Works" (published by "Fakel Express"); "Hr. G." Award Danov” 2024 for the illustrations in the publication “Thief of Solitude” by Raimondo Varsano; 2015 for the book “When I Want to Be Silent” by Zornitsa Hristova, Kiril Zlatkov; 2020 for the layout of a book – “Poetry. Ronsard” by Pierre de Ronsard. “Golden Brush” 2017.
